Launching TELLIN without a chino was not an option for us. Oh yes, we take this men’s wardrobe essential very seriously. After all, it perfectly captures our brand concept. Defined as a smart trouser made from a more casual cotton twill, it is our flagship pant for more reasons than one. Versatile by nature, we encourage them to be worn everywhere - as casual every-day pants that never look out of place in a professional setting, or in a more relaxed atmosphere (as long as you pair it right!). The choice of mid-weight cotton for our model is ideal for more formal occasions, too. It is light, soft, elegant, and comfortable all day.

We designed YATRA (read full story here), a smart-casual essential, with a clear progression in mind; a smart chino, redefined. For this we looked for the best and most renowned specialist in textiles with technical properties: Schoeller, pioneer and world leader in performance fabrics. Their 3XDRY® technology makes this Chino 2.0 ideal for conquering urban streets with confidence, or arriving casually elegant at an after-work get together. 3XDRY® means no dirt, no sweat, no stains. This remarkable fabric feature comes without compromising on the look and feel of our product.  Yatra is soft to the touch, comes clean with sharp stitching, detailed zips, and ergonomically placed buttons. The combination makes for a more streamlined and professional look, existing in 2 colors: timeless blue, and its historical color beige-khaki.

Our Swiss supplier, Schöeller, is the pioneer and worldwide leader of performance fabrics. They have been around for 150 years (established 1868) and provide precise solutions for all fabric issues in numerous industries from healthcare, military, construction, motor sports to outdoor and sportswear. Research and innovation is at the core of their DNA (25% of their workforce is dedicated to R&D, product development and design), and in a sustainable way: the company produces textiles according to eco-responsible standards Bluesign® System it helped create. Their innovation heritage shares a joined vision with TELLIN of “a global urban trend of modern and mobile city dwellers, who want to feel comfortable and protected anywhere in the world, while emphasizing their personality through individual styles”. Our collaboration ensures the development of our smart chino using a multifunctional, performance fabric.

For this we used a fine mid-weight cotton Twill (200 gr/m²), with 3% Lycra for comfort and shape-retention. Its 3XDRY technology is what makes this chino so special: dry on the outside, dry on the inside and dry in a flash. This finishing technology combines 2 functions into 1 textile: on the outside it is water repellent and significantly less susceptible to stains, the inside of the fabric absorbs and distributes moisture over the surface. As a result, garments using 3XDRY® technology dry very quickly, and virtually eliminate all perspiration marks on the outside. On top of that, this technology does not affect breathability, look, or feel of the fabric.
